We sit back and do nothing!

Will the west ever get serious with radical Islam? Unfortunately, I don't think so. We had an attack on September 11, 2001 that was deadlier than the one on December 7, 1941, "a date which will live in infamy" as FDR said. In 1941 we put our fortunes and our lives on the line to rid this world of an evil we had never seen before. Well, my friends that evil is back even uglier and deadlier than before.

Meanwhile, the brave young people of Iran have taken to the streets eager for their god given rights and we sit back an do nothing. My heart aches when I see the pictures of these brave young souls with the streets running red with their blood and we sit back and do nothing. Their bloggers are sent to prison where real torture exists as standard operating procedure and we sit back and do nothing. They die in prison and we sit back and do nothing.

What will finally move us to action? Will it take an advertising campaign with a lone Iranian youngster with a single tear sliding down their cheek just before a revolutionary guard goon comes into view with club raised. Even if such a campaign were produced does anyone believe that the mainstream media would play it. And we sit back and do nothing.
