Thank you America!

November 2, 2010 was an historic election! It was the largest Party-to-Party swing since 1932 when Democrats picked up 55 seats in the House. The Tea Party had some great wins with Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Allen West, to name just a few. We also have the first female Hispanic Governor with Republican prosecutor Susana Martinez in New Mexico. I say we should take one day to bask in the after glow of this great victory, but this is not a time for balloons, confetti and champagne. The next two years are going to be a hard struggle and tomorrow it all begins.

This election has gone a long way to restore my faith in the American voter and my faith had been truly shaken. Hell, the American Voter gave us Obama, Reid and Pelosi. My faith hasn't been completely restored however. I am astonished and frankly ashamed that California returned Barbara Boxer to Washington and elected Governor Moon Beam and what the hell happened in Nevada. Harry Reid? Hells Bells!

Locally I only was 50% which is better than nothing but it did result in the defeat of Chet Edwards (D) but saw the crooked Eddie Bernice Johnson (D) win reelection.

What is to come? I believe that there will be some compromise early one. The Bush tax cuts for all will probably be the compromise that Obama will be forced into, but that will probably be it. Obama won't move to the center and will continue to promote his radical agenda outside of the legislative process. The EPA will pursue a radical experimental agenda and the office of the US Attorney General will push an open borders policy. The GOP must present a clear alternative to this radical move to the left and be the adults in charge. The message should be "OK what you've been doing clearly doesn't work, let us show you what does".

We can't get disappointed when our progress seems to be a bit slow. We won't get it this huge sluggish ship turned completely around in the next two years. Yesterday was just the "End of the Beginning". We need to continue our push all the way to 2012, "Phase II of Taking Back America".

Celebrate today, my friends, you really do deserve it, but tomorrow we must roll up our sleeves and get right back at it. The work ain't over till it's over!
