Using the "S" word. [SOCIALISM]

Heard a good discussion on using the term Socialism when describing the Obama and democratic lead congress initiatives in the last 100 days. It is European Socialism. It is correct to say that neither the left's moves so far this year in the U.S.A. and what has gone on in Europe over the last 50+ years meet all the criteria of classic socialism. But when we describe America as a capitalist country we didn't meet all the criteria there either.

One challenge to all those who get bent out of shape then the "S" word is used. Show me how what Obama and the Dems in congress are doing that is different from the Social Democrats in Europe. Answer, NOTHING.

It may not be classic Socialism but it is SOCIALISM
